There's a buzz of excitement at NWCG, fueled by a growing team, innovative solutions, and a commitment to sustainability!
Early Night, Big Impact:
Following a marathon day yesterday, Paul, NWCG founder, managed a rare early night (by his standards) at 9:30 pm. This wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of a remarkable new volunteer, Dani.
Dani: A Star is Born:
Dani's dedication shines through. She arrived early, tackled the front yard weeds (talk about initiative!), and then spent the entire day assisting with stand setup, volunteering at the stand itself, and even venturing out to Musgrave Park. Her enthusiasm and commitment are invaluable assets to NWCG.
Expanding the NWCG Family:
The NWCG family continues to grow. Fiona, another new volunteer, joined the team today, sorting clothes and connecting with the community. A special shout-out goes to Chris, Rob, Karen, and Noi for their ongoing support!
NWCG Goes Up (and Provides Shade):
NWCG unveiled its newest acquisition – a magnificent gazebo! While Paul acknowledges the "grassroots" nature of the charity by finding humor in getting excited about shade, this practical addition will significantly enhance future stands.
Sustainable Practices:
Recognizing the importance of self-care, Paul has implemented a plan for sustainable volunteerism. He will be taking Sundays off, ensuring his own well-being and longevity in leading NWCG.
Looking Forward:
The future looks bright for NWCG. With a growing team, innovative solutions, and a commitment to sustainability, NWCG is well-positioned to continue providing essential support and fostering a sense of community for those experiencing homelessness in Brisbane.
