A Night of Connection and Success:
Our weekly BBQ was a success, with 11 attendees enjoying a warm meal and friendly conversation. This included a recent success story – the woman I assisted with a tent at Musgrave Park just a few days ago! Thrilled to share that she's already secured a room at Park Hotel! To celebrate, Nick and I treated her to a celebratory post-dinner outing at Max Brenner. We then returned to Musgrave to retrieve her tent. Fortunately, it only housed two guests and will be cleaned and reused – a testament to its quality. She's already enthusiastically signed up to volunteer with us at our Ivory Street stand, demonstrating her love for our mission!
Bubble & Squeak Steps Up:
This week has been a whirlwind! We've launched our exciting fundraiser, and I'm officially leading the Bubble & Squeak program. Additionally, I secured office space at Brookside Shopping Centre! This space will be instrumental in storing program supplies and facilitating clothing fittings. Christine's tireless efforts laid the foundation for this project, and I'm incredibly proud to continue her work while she takes a well-deserved break. A huge shout-out to Brookside for their incredible community spirit – they offered this space completely free of charge! The potential for a fruitful partnership is undeniable. This space unlocks a wealth of opportunities for our organization.
