A Blast from the Past:
Today, covering the stand solo brought back memories of Northwest Community Group's early days when I managed things single-handedly each week. Despite going solo, the day was quite bustling, with roughly 30-40 visitors and five tents distributed.
Positive News & Future Plans:
One visitor shared the fantastic news of securing housing after a four-year wait! We're thrilled for them and wish them all the best in their new home. Speaking of homes, on Monday, we'll be meeting with a couple of individuals at Musgrave Park to upgrade their tents – funds raised during our recent Northwest Female Fashion Fundraiser (over $500!) will be used for these purchases. Thank you once again to everyone who participated and supported the event!
Community Lunch & Spreading the Love:
Tomorrow's Northwest Community Lunch promises to be a heartwarming gathering. Many of the individuals we support will be joining us, and we extend a warm welcome to anyone who would like to come along and connect with them. We appreciate the invaluable support of Ferny Grove Tavern for sponsoring this event – their contribution will make a significant difference in the lives of those experiencing hardship.
