Just when you think the day can't get any better, a ray of sunshine breaks through! Here at NWCG, we were incredibly fortunate today thanks to the amazing generosity of Malaysia Nyonya House and Little Nyonya Kitchen.
Food Fit for a King (or Queen) Lands at Musgrave Park:
Due to a rainout, Malaysia Nyonya House found themselves with a surplus of delicious food originally intended for an event. Instead of letting it go to waste, they did something incredible – they immediately offered it to NWCG to distribute to those in need at Musgrave Park. Talk about turning a potential setback into a heartwarming act of kindness!
Sharing the Bounty:
The NWCG team, with Nick and Tania taking the lead, will ensure everyone at Musgrave Park enjoys a satisfying meal tonight. Any remaining food will be strategically distributed to pantries equipped with fridges, maximizing the reach of this generous donation.
NWCG's Fridge Network:
Did you know NWCG has a community fridge located outside Paul's house at 29 Ballylin St Ferny Grove? This fridge acts as a central hub for fresh and frozen food donations. Paul checks it daily before heading out on outreach, ensuring these valuable contributions reach those who need them most.
How You Can Help:
If you have any unopened, in-date fresh or frozen food that you'd like to donate, simply swing by Paul's house and add it to the fridge. A quick heads-up to let Paul know is all it takes to turn your surplus groceries into a helping hand for someone in need.
A Heartfelt Thank You:
A massive thank you to Malaysia Nyonya House and Little Nyonya Kitchen for their incredible generosity and quick thinking. Your willingness to go above and beyond will ensure many in our community enjoy a delicious and nutritious meal. Thank you to Nick and Tania for their swift action in getting this food distributed, and to Paul for maintaining the NWCG fridge network – a valuable resource for our community.
